Driver, 51, Killed In Head-On Crash In Vineland

A 51-year-old driver from Atlantic County was killed when his car crossed the center line and hit another car head-on in Cumberland County, authorities said.

Billy Hyslip of Absecon died in the crash, according to Vineland police.

On Friday, March 29 at about 6:50 a.m., Vineland police responded to the 200 block of Park Avenue.

Hyslip's car had collided head-on with a car driven by Patrick Schmidt, 32, of Cherry Hill.

Hyslip was pronounced dead at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.

Police did not say if Schmidt was injured.

An investigation is ongoing.
